C- It is current for the topic because gun control hasn't changed much in the past two years and this article was written in October of 2018.

R- This article is reliable because it doesn't have the author's opinion and it only has facts about the topic.

A- This article has authority because they know what they are talking about and they are written by Encyclopædia Britannica which is a reliable source, also there are no ads.

P- The purpose of this article is to teach people something because there is no opinion and it is all facts.


Is it reliable?: yes, because it passes the C.R.A.P. test.


RESOURCE 2: ProQuest (Coronavirus)

C- No it is not current because the article was written about a week ago and the Coronavirus is a very current topic.

R- This article is reliable because it only states facts.

A-This article has authority because they know what they are talking about and they are written by a member of the database which is a reliable source. There are also no ads and they aren't trying to sell me something.

P- The purpose of this article is to inform people about the virus and there is no opinion, it is all facts.


Is it reliable?: no, because it doesn't pass every letter of the C.R.A.P. test.
